A county seat with a square and a corporate base

Web design in McKinney, TX has to work for the seat of Collin County, now a city of more than 230,000 people. By the U.S. Census Bureau's estimates, McKinney grew from 195,331 residents at the 2020 base to 236,001 on July 1, 2025, and its gain of about 8,500 in the year to July 2025 was the 10th largest of any US city of 20,000 or more. McKinney Main Street, a program of the City of McKinney, describes downtown as "a courthouse square laid out in 1848, one of the largest historic districts in Texas," and the McKinney Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) counts more than 200 locally owned shops, galleries, and restaurants there.

Downtown, the market is the independent shops and restaurants of the square. Along US 75, SH 121, and US 380, it's a corporate and medical base, with the firms, practices, and contractors that serve it. The two call for different kinds of site.

Downtown: the square and its calendar

McKinney Main Street's calendar lists Arts in Bloom on the second weekend of April, Oktoberfest, and Home for the Holidays on Thanksgiving weekend. For a shop or restaurant on the square, festival weekends can mean different hours, and visitors who check the menu or the stock on a phone before driving over. Some will want to buy online and pick up at the counter.

A Shopify store with pickup in store covers that; see E-commerce and our page for retail stores and shops. Restaurants and cafes have a page of their own: Restaurants & Hospitality.

Craig Ranch and the SH 121 corridor

Visit McKinney describes Craig Ranch as a mixed-use community in southwest McKinney, with hotels along SH 121. It includes TPC Craig Ranch, the host venue for the PGA Tour's Byron Nelson tournament, the McKinney Soccer Complex at Craig Ranch, and the Hub 121 and District 121 dining and entertainment districts. Craig Ranch has offices as well; in July 2026, the MEDC announced that Netrio's expanded headquarters would be in the McKinney Corporate Center I building there.

If you're in Craig Ranch, say so, and name Hub 121 or District 121 if that's where customers find you; a page for each area you serve is part of the Websites Plus tier.

Employers, hospitals, and an airport

The MEDC's list of notable employers opens with Raytheon, Globe Life, Independent Financial, and Encore Wire. In July 2026, it announced a LITEON manufacturing campus expected to create at least 600 permanent jobs; LITEON broke ground that September, as did a Simpson Strong-Tie expansion on South Airport Drive. The city's hospitals include the Baylor Scott & White medical center at US 380 and Lake Forest Drive, Medical City McKinney on Medical Center Drive, and Methodist McKinney Hospital in Stonebridge Ranch.

The MEDC says some of the Dallas area's largest corporate flight departments are based at McKinney National Airport. Avelo Airlines was the first airline to commit to passenger service there, from a new terminal that travelers book under the code DTX. US 75 runs about 30 miles south to downtown Dallas, and SH 121 links the city to DFW Airport.

For professional firms, clinics, and contractors, that base is a market of its own. A site that explains what you do and how to start helps a buyer choose; see our page for professional services and B2B firms. Clinics have pages of their own, for dental practices and aesthetic clinics. Texas adds its own patient-privacy and AI-disclosure rules to HIPAA, summed up on the Dallas–Fort Worth page, and your compliance advisor decides how they apply to you.

How remote work runs

Naxdor is based in Sweden and works remotely with clients in the US. Calls are booked in your time zone and held on video, and there are no in-person meetings. You get one point of contact and a reply within one business day, and your domain, hosting, analytics, and CRM stay in your name. Every project runs through Discover, Design, Build, and Grow, explained on how we work.

What we don't do

  • Promise a place on the map. Naxdor has no office or Business Profile in McKinney, and Google says nobody can pay for a better local ranking. We work on your site and your own profile.
  • Promise fast rankings. Local SEO takes months; if you need inquiries sooner, we'll say when paid search is the better tool.
  • Keep your accounts. If you stop working with us, the site, the store, and the data stay with you.
